Frequently Asked Questions

If you are having any problems using the SecureUGA website, please view the following possible solutions before contacting the EITS Help Desk.

I cannot find the required awareness presentations, or cannot log in to SecureUGA.

Please first make sure you have the correct login page. SecureUGA uses your MyID to access and record the completion of each security awareness presentation. Your MyID is the same as your UGA email address, but without the "@uga.edu", and uses the same password as your email account. If you have trouble logging in, please try logging in to another MyID service, such as UGAMail, to make sure your MyID and password are valid. If you have forgotten your MyID or Password, please visit the MyID website and choose either "Forgot Your Password?" or " Forgot Your MyID?" on the left side menu.

I can log in, but when I click on a module I cannot view the material.

SecureUGA uses Adobe Flash to present each module. Please download and install the latest version of Flash, then close and reopen your web browser to see if that fixes the problem.

How do I know if I have completed the required modules?

Once each module has been completed, the office associated with it will appear to be dark. When you have completed the training all the offices will appear to be dark and the words "All Done" will appear at the center of the office graphic.

It may be difficult for all my staff to complete SecureUGA individually. Is there facilitated or mass training options available?

A process for facilitated training is available. Please contact Information Security for more information. We typically request a member of your department to be willing to facilitate the training. This usually involves presenting each module on a screen to a group of people, answering questions between presentations, and filling out a spreadsheet with who attended, and what modules they completed.
